Graduation Dresses

I want to get this dress for my graduation (We have to wear either black or white). It's a steal at 24euro (from Asos.com) but I'm worried that it would be too short for a graduation ceremony. I might buy it and try it on anyway.

It's so hard to find any white dresses on the high street here in Dublin, the only ones I found were floaty, summer dresses which are no good to me as the event is in November! On Asos they all seem to either be mini dresses or 'ponti' length- I want something in between!!

I shall keep this updated as to my efforts of finding the perfect dress in which to 'commence'!

Born This Way

So, Lady Gaga's second full length album was released today! (It did leak before the weekend but after one fruitless search for it I decided to wait until today to hear it anyway). This morning I braved a town full of Obama-lovers and managed to get my copy of the CD despite the city practically being on lock-down.

To cut a long story short: It was worth it!! The album is great. Of course, there are some filler songs but every album has them. It's a pop/electro explosion with awesome lyrics and crazy harmonies. I love it <3 PUT YOUR PAWS UP!

So, I shall leave you now with my favorite song (after listening to the album once through) from Mother Monster's latest masterpiece :)

Kizzy Vs Rebecca Vs Gaga

I couldn't resist! This is my version of 'Friday' (Originally sung by Rebecca Black). I had to add in some Lady Gaga of course :)

Homemade Pizzas!

Being a student, I cannot afford to order Dominoes whenever I feel like a scrumptious treat for dinner. So myself (Kizzy) and my sister decided to make pizzas our self from scratch. The base was made of a very simple: Self-raising flour, butter and milk. We made two types of pizzas, one tomato based and the other barbecue based. As toppings we used mozzarella, chicken, pepperoni, mushrooms, red and green peppers and jalapenos. The pizzas only took fifteen minutes to bake in the oven. They tasted amazing if I may say so again and it was really fun making them! This will definitely be a repeat event!

Garden of Eden

As a birthday treat to me I traveled to the far off land of Cornwall to see the Eden Project. If you don't know what Eden is have a gooo at the website, it's a whole clatter of biomes re-creating different ecosystems all in the UK. Pretty fantastic to be honest & I had a friggin awesome time. Also drank far too much Cornish cyyder, something by the name of Blackthorn or Blackthunder, who can remember. Fecking hate buses though after the trip & roundabouts & sitting the wrong way around in a bus going around lots of roundabouts. Silly girl.

Phlegm central.

Currently phlegm central, though it was just my birthday! I got flowers & Kizzy & Cozzy gave me Broccoli seeds. Awesome sausages. I had a lovely time with a pinata, margaritas, limes & sequins. What's not to love?

Ouch.

My mama got me a Dublin City Bikes card for Christmas, cause she loves me, I don't think she realised that the bikes would soon become my enemy that I have to overcome before I can relax again. 4 bike rides, 50% fall rate. That's right, in the last 2 weeks I have fallen off my bike twice. Once on Dawson Street, stupid potholes, which wasn't so bad, didn't really hurt myself or anything.
More recently on Harcourt Street, in the middle of the Luas tracks. Turns out they are notoriously slippy & not a good idea to ride on. The last time I fell off my bike in such a manner I was maybe 2 feet high. Bruised swollen knees, scraped shins & a hurt ego are the order of the day.
I have a love/hate relationship with bicycles. When we were growing up we got all our cousins hand-me-down bikes, but they were great, we lived in the Burren & were the only kids that had a BMX. My first bike was red & orange, & I still remember the day my Dad took the stabilizers off, at first he would only let me cycle around the house, but that evening he took me for a bike ride up the road. As he sped ahead with my Brother, the dog, loyal as ever, stayed with me.
I was tottering along at my own pace, but kept falling off as I was talking to the dog. I got very annoyed & left the beautiful bicycle in the ditch, walked home & refused to go back & get it.
Ever since I have battled to overcome my foe.
I have cycled consistently ever since, as in Clare if you don't own a car (which I don't) you cycle or walk everywhere. Even when I got hit by a car on my bike during my leaving cert I kept on trucking.
I will succeed.
